MSI LGA 1851 Offset Kit Reduces Intel Core Ultra Processor Temperature by 3%
Case & Components
To adapt to the shifted thermal hotspot of Intel Core Ultra Desktop Processors (Series 2), MSI has released the LGA 1851 Offset Kit for its CORELIQUID I series liquid coolers. This kit is designed to effectively reduce processor temperature and enhance cooling efficiency.
Shifted Hotspot Location in Intel Core Ultra Desktop Processors
The Intel Core Ultra Desktop Processors (Series 2) have a thermal hotspot that is not centered but is instead shifted slightly towards the upper right. Standard cooling solutions are not optimized for this shift, limiting their ability to provide the best cooling performance.
The MSI LGA 1851 Offset Kit allows the water block of the liquid cooler to be positioned closer to this hotspot, improving heat dissipation and overall cooling performance.
3% Temperature Reduction Compared to Standard Brackets
Tests have shown that using the MSI CORELIQUID I360 liquid cooler equipped with the LGA 1851 Offset Kit results in a temperature reduction of approximately 3% compared to standard mounting brackets.
This improvement is effective for the Core Ultra 9 285K and also benefits the Core Ultra 7 and Core Ultra 5 processors, providing enhanced cooling for a range of models.
