It’s engineered to push the boundaries of performance further than ever while carrying an elegant style. The MSI GeForce RTX 4090 SUPRIM LIQUID X 24G is an impressive blend of intelligent thermal design thanks to hybrid liquid-air cooling, robust construction, and the most powerful GeForce GPU on the market.

The MSI GeForce RTX 4090 SUPRIM LIQUID X 24G graphics card is a work of beauty. Its subtle, yet elegant design reflects the raw power and performance waiting to be let loose.

The front exterior of the shroud is a brushed Aluminium plate with beveled edges polished with a hint of gold color. Sharp geometric lines across the shroud, an octagon-shaped fan cutout, and an illuminated chevron highlight the metal material and accentuate the design. The solid metal backplate prominently shows the SUPRIM logo. The logo is inspired by the geometry of diamond crystals – representing the high-quality materials and premium construction that goes into manufacturing every SUPRIM product from MSI.

Two key components form the foundation of the liquid cooling system on the MSI GeForce RTX 4090 SUPRIM LIQUID X 24G: a low-profile pump and a micro-fin copper base plate with thickened edges.

One challenge when designing the hybrid system on the MSI GeForce RTX 4090 SUPRIM LIQUID X 24G was accommodating a high-performance pump within a small space. By integrating a low-profile pump right into the cold plate, our graphics card shroud is more compact than before while easily handling the heat generated by a RTX 4090 GPU.

The copper base of the cold plate features micro-fins that quickly transfer heat into the liquid coolant. We’ve also increased the width of the copper base to cool the VRAM on the graphics card.

As a result, the copper base used in the MSI GeForce RTX 4090 SUPRIM LIQUID X 24G is now thicker and features precise blocks that sit flush against the VRAM chips for cooling both the GPU and VRAM using a single cold plate.

While our previous TORX Fan 4.0 could move a significant volume of air, we’ve taken it a step further with our brand-new TORX Fan 5.0. It boasts 10% increased airflow compared to its predecessor and 23% increased airflow compared to a regular axial fan.

Two major upgrades set the TORX FAN 5.0 apart: three linked fan blades and bulging notches under the cowl.

We’ve grouped and connected three fan blades in a ring arc to create Linked Fan Blades to better focus airflow into the heatsink and maintain high-pressure even at lower RPMs. This reduces the noise generated by fans without compromising cooling performance. What’s more, the trailing end of the ring arc folds inward at a precise angle to reduce turbulence and drag.

Similarly, the Bulging Notches under the cowl have a three-fold effect – they reduce air recirculation, improve airflow stability, and reduce noise. You can expect the TORX Fan 5.0 to offer superior cooling performance at reduced noise levels across the board.

When you’re playing demanding games or rendering models for work, the RTX 4090 consumes lots of energy. Internally, this translates into a lot of heat that must be dissipated to maintain peak performance.

All the heat generated by the ferocious RTX 4090 GPU and VRAM chips is captured into the copper base plate sitting flush against them, then transferred into the closed-loop liquid. The liquid is then pumped into a large 240mm Aluminum Radiator that’s cooled with a pair of MSI Silent Gale P12 fans.

The size of the 240mm Aluminium Radiator does require a case that can accommodate both your GPU radiator and your CPU cooling solution.

Although liquid cooling allows boost clocks to rise to incredible levels, it does offer another significant advantage – near-zero noise levels at idle, thanks to MSI Zero FROZR.

The fans on the MSI GeForce RTX 4090 SUPRIM LIQUID X 24G stay completely motionless when temperatures are low enough. You might notice that your graphics card fans are absolutely silent!
